Teddy Bears Picnic

Where: Victoria Park, Thames

When: Sunday 4th March, 10am - 2pm

Activities: CAPS Hauraki proudly organise this free event for families to spend time together. Free bouncy castle, train rides, music, entertainment, face painting and games. So come along and bring a picnic lunch and get ready to have a fantastic day with your kids.

Cambridge Elim Fun Day

Where: Cambridge Elim Christian Centre, 8 Wordsworth Street, Leamington

Family Picnic

Where: Leamington Domain, Wordsworth Street, Cambridge

When: Sunday 4th March, 11am - 2pm

Activities: Bring your family for a picnic day. Sport Waikato will organise family games and there will be animals for children to pet.

Strom Contracting Trolley Derby 2012

Where: Reserve at the corner of Waterways Parade and Motu Grande

When: Sunday 4th March, 1pm - 3.30pm 

Activities: Fun day for the whole family. Will have activities such as Trolley derby, snowy waters train, lolly scramble, sausage sizzle and drink stands. Free entry and you must register by 27 February for some games. There will be spot prizes with a grand prize of a 'family 2 nights' at Snowy Waters Lodge, Raetihi.

Monster Madness in the Museum

Where: Waikato Museum, 1 Grantham Street, Hamilton

When: Sunday 4th March, 10.30am - 3.30pm

Activities: Monsters amongst us - Looking for monsters that live in our enviornment. Howling Hamilton monster tour, monster theatre sports, monster mash disco, monster art and craft and so much more.

Party in the Park

Where: Herries Park, Rewi Street, Te Aroha

When: Friday 2nd March, 10am - 12.30pm

Activities: Free activities such as face painting, bouncy castle, water play, playdough, story time, road safety bear, car seat advice and fittings, dog safety message, free balloons, give aways and rides on toys. These events will be organised by Plunket, local place centres, toy library, play schools and child care providers.

Faith, Hope and Love

Where: Taupo (venue TBC)

Mangakino Children's Day Colouring Competition

Where: 55 Karamu St, Mangakino (School), Kaahu Street, Whakamaru (Whakamaru School), Mangakino

Activities: Design a flyer for Children's Day, explaining what children's day is and what it means to the children of Mangakino/Whakamaru.

When: Date changed to Sunday 25th March, 11am - 2:30pm

Activities: Entry is free. Bring your own picnic lunch or buy food and refreshments. Enter the Quest-A-Thon and colouring competition and win prizes. Enjoy other free entertainment like bouncy castles, top team, crazy good music, games, puppets and lots more.

Children's Play Time

Where: Soldiers Memorial Park, Mercury Bay Library, Whitianga

When: Saturday 3rd March, 9am - 11am

Activities: Encouraging children to play on the large ride on toys from the Toy Library. We want to raise the awareness of the Toy Library in the community as an affordable way for families to access a large variety of toys. We will be giving away balloons and information about the Toy Library.

Ladybugs Open Day

Where: 1 Gillies Avenue, Claudelands, Hamilton

When: Sunday 4th March, 10am - 2pm

Activities: We will be having an Open Day at our homebased childcare playgroup venue/centre. There will be a bouncy castle and various other activities for children - they can play in our sandpit and use all our toys and resources.

Childrens Day

Where: WAERENGA HALL Settlers Rd, Waerenga, TE KAUWHATA

When: Sunday 4th March, 4:30pm - 7pm

Activities: Station Rotation of activities. It is a series of different games. The children will be placed into a mixed age group and the group that earns the most points wins. There will also be individual activities for the children that want to be involved but not competitively. Water games will also be happening so bring a change of clothes. We will have a FREE sausage sizzle and finger food available. For the adults there will be a Cafe available.
