Take a Kid Fishing
Where: Public wharf at Talley's Fisheries, Port Motueka
When: Sunday 4th March, 10am - 12 noon
Where: Public wharf at Talley's Fisheries, Port Motueka
Activities: Fishing for children with members of RSA Fishing Club. Free sausage sizzle, spot prizes and a special prize for best fish. Starting time will depend on the Sunday's tides time.

Stoke Toy Library Family Fun Day
Where: Marsden Reserve (behind Stoke Memorial Hall), Songer Street
When: Sunday 11th March, 11am - 3pm
Activities: Range of family-focused activities including pony rides, bouncy castle, face painting, ferris wheel, emergency vehicles, mini jeeps, art & sporting activities, sausage sizzle, childrens toy/clothing sale, cake stall & entertainment.

The MAD Show
Where: Theatre Royal, 78 Rutherford St, Nelson 7010
When: Tuesday 13th March, 7pm - 8:30pm
Activities: Making A Difference through Music, Art and Dance. Entertainment for the whole family. On stage, The Peasants, Twisty Twins, Tava Sisters, Samba Band, Kath Bee, Kurnel MC (Luke Epapara), Rebecca Bignall Dance Academy, plus … (drum roll please!) … the Purple Cake Day Children’s Wearable Art finalists. Supreme Award announced on the night by Dame Suzie Moncrieff.
Supporting Purple Cake Day – kids helping kids all over the world.

Pool Party

Activities: Swimming, bouncy castle, active movement activities, sausage sizzle and colouring in competition.

Keeping Yourself Safe
Where: Motueka Library and Richmond Library
When: 27 February - 6 March
Activities: Free Kidpower Colouring Books from the Motueka and Richmond Libraries, The books show children how to: get help, use their voice to be powerful, set boundaries, make a safety plan, yell no if something scares them
