Children's Day Fun in the Park

Where: Nairn Street Reserve , Corner Nairn Street and Taieri Road

When: Sunday 4th March, 10.30am - 3pm

Activities: Community worship service followed by a family picnic and fun activities. There will be face painting, bouncy castle for kids, astroball, toy cars, sausage sizzle, races and other competitions. Fire department will also do a display.

Once upon a Sunday: Maui superheros

Where: Storypit, Dunedin City Library 

When: Sunday 4th March, 2pm - 2.30pm

Activities: Join our professional storyteller Kaitrin McMullan and discover the ancient legend of how New Zealand was created - thanks to Maui and his brothers.

Children's Storytime: NZ stories

Where: Mosgiel Library

When: Tuesday 6 March, 11am - 11.30am

Activities: Introduce your child to the wonderful world of books and language. Visit the library for half an hour stories, both old and new. Suitable for preschool children and their caregivers.

Aquarium on Children's Day

Where: New Zealand Studies Centre and Wespac Aquarium, 185 Hatchery Road, Portobello, Dunedin

When: Sunday 4th March, 10am - 4.30pm

Activities: Spend time with your family on Children's Day and enoy the close up view of local sea life - octopus, sea stars, crabs, anemones and much more. You will love the hands-on experience in the touch pools and the virtual deep sea dive in a yellow submarine! Half price aquarium entry for families or anyone accompanied by a child plus free Rocky Shore colouring books and other give aways.

Oamaru Kindergarten Association Picnic Lunch

Where: Pembroke School Grounds, Raglan Street, Oamaru

When: Sunday 4th March, 12pm - 2pm

Activties: Facepainting, bubbles, lucky dips, raffles and more! Please bring your picnic lunch and picnic mats along.

Where: Queenstown Primary School field, Robins Road

When: Sunday 4th March, 10am - 2pm

Activities: A fun day out for parents and kids to enjoy together. There will be stalls and fun activities such as petting zoo, fire engine, bouncy castle, sausage sizzle, games, races and a police car.

Teddy Bears Picnic

Where: Naseby Domain, Derwent Street

When: Friday 2nd March, 10am - 12pm

Activities: Bring your bears. Parachute, music, story telling, face painting, crown making, running races, bubbles, playdough and more.

Where: Pioneer Park, Centennial Avenue, beside the new tennis courts and gardens.

Where: St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Tenby Street, Wanaka

When: Sunday 4th March, 9:30am

Activities: A special service and celebration for children of all ages!  We'll explore how to "Treasure our Children" at the family-friendly service followed by a party morning tea and treasure hunt.
