New Zealand's Children's Day is a national, non-commercial day to celebrate how special and important our children are.

Children's Day 2008 was on the 2nd of March

We hope you did something special with children on that day. The most important gift an adult can give to a child is ‘giving time'.

A huge Thank You to all the event organisers who made Children's Day 2008 a great success. We look forward to hearing from you for Children's Day 2009.

The key theme for 2008 was ‘NEW EXPERIENCES'

This website contains information and inspiration to help you celebrate Children's Day.

Throughout this site you will see our fun new Children's Day characters (PDF 421KB): Ben, Kate, Rua, Jess and Patch the dog. They are busy deciding on what they will be doing on Children's Day, have you decided what you are going to do yet?
